On preparing to go to Stinson and not seeing old friends there?
It is, I think, far more about the unconscious - it's all about how you go about your day and your life thinking you know what you're all about, thinking you know how it all is gonna go down, that you know exactly what you do and what you need in any given situation.
But of course, the good news is, you know nothing of the sort and don't have to! The Lord has the plan!
And, it's about losing all those you have come to know and love. Oh! we say we will get together, see each other, talk about our faith and issues together and maybe even pray...... but we don't do we? A new chapter opens in your life, the old chapter finishes and we just go on to something else.
So I suspect, I will continue to think of you and all those who now have the privilege of serving something higher in themselves even thought they are someplace else. And I will grieve not to join with you on this week at Stinson in a common meal, a common goal, and a purposes beyond my own narrow constraints.
I know you are out there, but since 2006 and the Gillian-Barre' it is, sadly so hard to recall faces from yesterday.....I don't recall the reasons for our riffs or tiffs but you of course can and do.
